      May 13th Iopa'a featuring Josh Timmons and Payton Meyer 6p - 8p

Local big island boys, Josh Timmons and Payton Meyer are the two hawks that make up the dynamic duo

Iopa’a (ee o pah…ah). A beautiful blend of voices, sax, guitar, trumpet and keys.

Their genre is hip alternative covers, jazz, reggae, light rock and contemporary good listening music.

Josh and Payton have performed all over Hawaii and on mainland tours in various groups and convention bands.

      May 15th Fara Tolno - Afro Fusion  7p - 9p

Gabriel Fara Tolno isn’t just a djembe* teacher and master, he’s a living embodiment of the vibrant pulse of West Africa.

*(The djembe drum originates from West Africa, specifically the Mandinka people of Mali, Guinea, Senegal and Ivory Coast.

The word ‘djembe’ itself is derived from the saying ‘Anke dje, anke be’, which translates to ‘everyone gather together in peace’).

This phrase perfectly captures the communal and celebratory nature of the instrument.
